Planning for Public Transit

(Adapted from PennDOT’s Transportation and Land Use Toolkit)

Public transit in the Mon Valley exists in several forms. The most common is scheduled fixed-route bus service provided by the Port Authority of Allegheny County and regional operators - Mid Mon Valley and Westmoreland County Transit. This service is supplemented by intercity buses, paratransit and other mobility alternatives offered by private transit operators within local communities.
