Mon Valley Land Use & Transportation

A wide range of planning studies with implications for Mon Valley communities has been completed. These studies were conducted at a variety of scales, from the ten-county southwestern Pennsylvania region, to the Mon Valley subregion, to focused redevelopment planning for specific brownfield sites. Each study, whether called a “plan,” a “strategy” or a “vision,” involves the consideration of future land use, transportation and economic development. The following is a brief summary of Mon Valley planning studies from the past decade.
